PRIDE IN EVERY SLICE
Protest Pizza + Bar is now open in the heart of Dupont Circle, built to be fast, friendly, welcoming, and full of heart. The support from neighbors, local businesses, and the Stead Park community has meant everything to us, and we’re proud to be creating a neighborhood spot that feels lively, inclusive, and genuinely ours.
We serve pizza by the slice, whole pizza pies, salads, jumbo chicken wings, frozen yogurt, frozen margaritas, and a full bar — with lunch, dinner, late-night bites, catering, and , plenty of reasons to stop in. We’re also one of the few spots in Dupont Circle serving late-night food and drinks until 1 AM on Fridays and Saturdays.
At the center of it all is our slice shop model. We offer a large variety of pizzas by the slice, giving people real choice at the counter and making it easy to grab a favorite or try something new.
Our 16-inch pies are cut 6 ways for the slice counter, creating a bigger, more substantial, more satisfying slice. It’s one of the ways we deliver real everyday value to the neighborhood: more pizza per slice, honest portions, and a slice that eats like a meal. In fact, our counter slice is larger than the slices many shops serve from an 18-inch pie cut 8 ways. For dine-in and takeaway whole pies, we cut 8 ways for a more traditional sharing experience.
The result is simple: bigger slices, better value, and more care in every pie. We put real intention into what we make — from quality ingredients and thoughtful preparation to warm service and a welcoming experience from the moment you walk in.
Protest Pizza was built from the ground up by Ricky and Randy, bringing together years of experience in food, hospitality, community-building, and business operations. We set out to create a place that feels good for the neighborhood — casual, reliable, inclusive, and fun — with food that feels generous and made with care.
We’re proud to be a safe, inclusive space for our LGBTQ neighbors, families, local workers, and everyone who walks through the door. We also believe in showing up for the neighborhood by building connections with nearby organizations, artists, and small businesses whenever we can.
More variety. Bigger slices. Better value. Pride in every slice.
